The About face: Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (007, Defiance) as the nefarious Red Rackham.
The Wild side: Thrilling and wildly funny, theTintin stories chronicle the escapades of a junior reporter (Jamie Bell) who has a nose for a good story and a talent for attracting trouble, which more often than not imperils his life! Oscar winning directors Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson have selected three stories from the "Tintin" book series to develop into theatrical feature films, which they are directing back to back, employing state of the art performance capture technology.
The first in the trilogy is directed by Steven Spielberg and is entitled, simply, The Adventures of Tintin. In this episode Tintin and his friends discover directions to a sunken ship commanded by Capt. Haddock's ancestor and go off on a treasure hunt.
Look for the second in the Tintin trilogy to hit movie theaters in 2013, directed by Peter Jackson.
